Moving on.

Life, is an amazing journey.
Whether you've screw it up before, you can choose change your life from now on.
I always remind myself "Stop dwelling about the past and move on".
Today,  I'm a survior of my own demons, how about you?

Be proud of who you are,  you're not living in anyone's shadow.
Life is yours, you may begin by making peace with yourself first...
Stop chasing after things that do not belongs to you and it's time to move on.
Hate nothing, but learn to love and forgive after all the lessons you've learnt.
Because at the end of the day, the one who will be suffering isn't anyone, but yourself.
Life is tough, so why make your life even tougher ?

Chinese New Year is just around the corner, wishing everyone a good health, a good mind & an open heart.
A wonderful horse year, recieving lots of ang bao and lots of love ...
HUAT AH !

Quote for the day: "I am determinded to be cheerful and happy in whatever situation I may find myself.
For I have learn that the greater part of our misery or unhappiness is determinded not by our circumstance but by our disposition."

With tons of love & peace,
Aderina.

My Lipsticks Collection.

Today's blog, I'll be sharing with you guys on Lipsticks.
I have  a collection of 7 Lipsticks with me, they're from the following brands
'Pupa, Sephora, Mac, Revlon, Lioele, Maybelline & Etude House'.
My lip is pretty dry and always seems to crack.
Therefore, purchasing of lipstick really isn't that easy for me.

Pupa (Shimmer brown; NewChic 41):This is a really good brand for lipstick, is one of my fav among the 7.
It's very lasting, and does not make your lips seems cracky.
The amazing thing about pupa lipstick is, it's not like the usual kind of moisturizing lipstick, which seems to be too smooth, oily &shinny.
Even without applying any lipbum before hand, it does not make my lip looks dry at all.
Neither does it feel make your lip feels any oily or stickiness.
I love the shimmer effects of pupa lipstick, and it's very own special moisturizing effect.
It has this small rectangular mirror for you to look at when applying your lipstick.
It's so convenience, in that case, you dont have bring an additional mirror in your handbag.

Sephora (Supershine Lightpink; N05): This is my next favorite lipstick, it's very moisturizing and glossy.
This is definitely an awesome lipstick for daily use!
They do have many colors for this super glossy range, you can check them out in stores.
As compare to pupa's, this is the kind of lipstick in which when you applied it onto ur lips, you will feel the instance smoothness; which is the moisturizing effect.
*Sephora is giving away free membership card with any amt of purchase! So get yours now!

Mac (Creme D'Nude B92 ): This is a matt nude color, which I've been searching high & low for it, during the trending period of having a 'nude makeup'.
Mac have various shades of beige lipsticks, and this is the closest nude color which I can get in sg, because the previous nude colors batch has discontinued.
I got it last year, around the month of August.
And used it a couple of times, and still, I dont really like it.
It does not moisturize my lip at all, my lip seems very cracky.
I've tried applying lip bum before applying lipstick, but it doesn't help at all.
Only awesome part is that, it really makes me look pale (since I was going for the nude makeup look)
But still, I dont really like it, it's too dry.
Probably because it's a matt lipstick ? I'm not sure about that.
But I suppose most matt lipstick isn't moisturizing since it's not shiny?  Correct me if I'm wrong:)

Licole (Matt LightPink 02 ): My next irrational purchase is this lipstick which I've regretted much.
Same as Mac's matt lipstick, it's not moisturizing at all, and makes my lip lines looks really obvious and cracky. This thing about matt lipstick is, it's not our natural lip color, so the color does not stay long on our lips and might not suits our skin color at all.
Even though I have to admit, the pastels colors looks really attractive, but they just doesn't suits me.
So I also got this lipstick, during the trending period of having nude make-up.
At that point of time you see, it's really hard to find a super matt baby pink color lipstick.
So I bought this and tell myself, this is damn unique color, must buy!
Frankly speaking, I have not wear it out before...
Only, tried it out at home, and realized that the color does not stay at all.
Haiz, as I said, it's an irrational purchase.

Revlon (Strawberry Shortcake 080): This is a very sweet pastel pink color lipstick, by looking at the name itself, it's called strawberry shortcake, in which I think most females will love this.)
It's moisturizing but not lasting.
And one thing that I dont like about Revlon lipstick is, it's seems to be quite soggy (like melting)

Maybelline (The Jewels, Refined Wine): This is an extreme dark purple color lipstick.
Back then, I was inspired by Jessie J & Katy Perry's unique looking lipstick color which is dark purple.
So again, I search for it high & low and finally found it.
And it's was the lastest color released by Maybelline.
I was so excited because it' really an odd color & I've never seen someone putting it on in town before.
Thank god, it's not a matt one, it's moisturizing and have slight shimmering.
I can say that it's considered quite lasting, thumbs up for that!
Love it!

Etude House (Furious Red): The color relates well to the name itself, it's a dark and glossy red  color lipstick.
It's very moisturizing and I really love the glossiness of it!
There are many shades of red & this is similar to 'vampire red'.
Since Chinese New Year is around the corner, this is probably one of the purchases which you would not want to miss out!
*Etudehouse is giving away free membership card with any amt of purchase! So get yours now!

Nivea (Fruity Shine Strawberry): Nivea is a really good brand for lip treatment.
I use it on regular basis, it has a very smooth texture, extremely moisturizing and also a sweet strawberry fragrance.
It's glossy and have a slight reddish color.
Highly recommend this for those who have dry lips or looking for a lipbum which protects and also provide a little color to your lips, try this!

I'm very keen in purchasing a YSL lipstick.
Their ranges of colors & packing never fails to capture my attention.
Anyone has any feedbacks or recommendations for me on YSL lipstick?

Why do WOMEN love handbags so much ?

Every girl has their own ideal brand of bags they would really like to have, or they already have it.
Here comes to today's topic.

Why do women love handbags so much?

Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-486265/Bags-class--women-love-handbags-much.html#ixzz2rTdK9Nm0

What sacrifices would you have to make to afford Miu Miu's gorgeous Coffer bag - all butter-soft leather, ruches and gold hardware, and a hefty £720?
If you ate beans on toast for a month, could you stretch to £895 for Marc Jacobs's delicious plum metallic Mariah?
The It-Bag is the ultimate 21st- century object of desire, not just for supermodels and celebutantes, but for working women from all walks of life.

These days we're prepared to spend more on a handbag than a holiday or even a car - and we want the rest of the world to know it.
Clothes on the catwalk regularly take second place to this most covetable of accessories - a trend borne out earlier this year when Kate Moss starred in Longchamp's bag campaign, lying naked on a beach, except for her Longchamp handbag.
The message was clear: clothes are redundant - it's all about the It-Bag.

But why do we find bags so desirable?
It's partly because they've become a unique outward statement of a woman's status, fashion savvy and earning power - and the rising popularity of handbags over the past 100 years has followed the increasing social independence of their owners.
Two hundred years ago, a woman's role was largely domestic and she would keep her belongings in a purse tucked into the folds of her clothes.
But as women started leaving the home, both for leisure and work, bags became a useful way of carrying their possessions.
Rail and sea travel caused an explosion in the popularity of fashionable luggage such as suitcases, dressing cases, hat and shoe boxes - out of which the modern leather handbag developed.
It's no accident that many of today's most luxurious handbag design houses, such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada and Hermes, originated in the late 19th and early 20th centuries as travel became more common. Then, as women gained financial independence, so the handbag industry flourished out of all proportion to its humble origins.
Now a big luxury conglomerate such as LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy) makes millions of pounds a year from handbag sales alone.
But the way the right bag can make us feel goes far deeper than just being a way of carrying things around.

Both revealing and concealing, it also represents something deeply private to its owner.
This stems largely from the fact that the handbag was originally developed from a silk purse or pocket worn next to the skin for safety. In times gone by pockets were classed almost as items of underwear - secret places hidden under sumptuous material and reached by a slit in the skirt.
These almost risque; connotations remained when the first prototype handbags were developed in the late 18th century in the form of reticules - exquisitely embroidered, handled pouches in damask, satin and velvet, in which a woman would could carry cosmetics, a fan for flirtation, smelling salts and cartes de visite, all without compromising the slim-line fit of the newly fashionable Empire-line dresses.

At the time, the idea of a woman parading her personal belongings in a visible pocket was as shocking to many as if she had taken her knickers off and waved them in the air - and, as a result, reticules were dubbed "ridicules" for a while.
For some time, handbags were seen as sexual items - the expression "old bag" for a woman who is past her sexual prime is a lingering part of that legacy.
These days, although they no longer have a racy reputation, they have lost none of their sex appeal and this is probably because the bag remains an accessory that is still very closely associated with all of our most intimate possessions.
A bag contains our survival kit for daily life in the urban jungle - from mobile phone, tampons, make-up, money and keys, to hair straighteners, laptops, Blackberries, chewing gum, condoms or a change of clothes.
As a result, its mystique remains intact: many men find the complexities of what women carry in a handbag thrillingly obscure and would never dare to invade its privacy.
Most women would feel naked without their handbags. And, as clothes become ever more streamlined and minimalist, it is in your choice of bag that you can make sure you stand out from the crowd.
It's a trend which has fuelled the incredible growth of the handbag industry in the past decade. By 2006, one report showed that sales of bags were growing at twice the rate of clothes.

But with so many designer bags vying for our attention, what does it take to lift a handbag to authentic 'It' status?
The most obvious attribute is a striking design. An It-Bag needs to be instantly recognisable - whether it's the distinctive quilting and gold chains of the Chanel 2.55 bag, the unmistakable underarm Fendi Baguette or the Chloe Paddington bag with its oversized padlock.
Another vital element for an It-Bag, of course, is glamour. Often this comes from the magical association between a brand and a celebrity - such as the famous Hermes Kelly bag.
First produced in 1935, it was not until 1956 that the bag's reputation became positively stratospheric when the newlywed Princess Grace of Monaco was famously photographed for the cover of Time magazine trying to shield her pregnant belly with a classic Hermes bag.
The bag in question thereafter became known as the Kelly in her honour, and shot to global bestseller status, where it remains today.
Fashion commentators at the time were quite clear about the association of bag and star: carrying a Kelly bag screamed class and old money, both then thought to be highly desirable.

An iconic bag owes its status not to canny marketing strategies, but to the finest traditions of pedigree, quality and craftsmanship to look as good decades later as it did the day it was first worn.

And, for a true bag-lover, that is almost beyond price.

Well Readers,  do you agree with that?
You may share your dream bag with me now :)

And the following lists of bags are kind of my favorite brands; designs/colors.

19th Monthsary - 18 Jan 2013

On the 18th of every month, my boyfriend & I will explore a new eating place to dine at.
Yesterday dinner, we're at Clark Quay's 小陳故事.
Location: #01-08 Blk E Clarke Quay, 3 River Valley Rd (Same lane as Shanghai Dolly & Beer Market)

Yes, it's Bak Kut Teh !
Many months ago, I found this place with a bestie of mine, while the both of us were walking along the lane and came across this vintage looking Bak Kut Teh place.

This's the look of a Happy & Hungry boyfriend

As usual, he cant wait to eat his food while I will always say 'WAITTTT, dont eat first, let me take pictures kay? "

The reason why we're here, cause I like the overall ambience.
Initially, we wanted to go Westgate's newly opened Restaurant called '老街馳名肉骨茶。油條。豆漿   ' But I really prefer the ambience here , will check out Westgate's Buk Kut Teh someday and share with you guys!

After dinner, we headed to Garden By The Bay.
He wants to bring me to SuperTree's Skybar to chill our night away.
I love night riding.
Appreciating the beauty of the lights & the sky. *Feeling good*

Yes, our destination is to SuperTree Grove's bar.

Entry for weekdays is $10, closing at 1am.
Entry for weekend is $18, closing at 2am
One Complementary drink for per entry.

Image of the Bar counter.

The scenery is really awesome, totally surrounded by huge and pretty buildings.
MBS, Singpore Flyer, Raffles City's towers buildings, Marina Barrage ...
It's really cold and windy up here, but indeed, it's a romantic place to chill with your loved one.
*Take note, there's no shelter.  So you may like to check on the weather forecast of the night before heading down.
Nobody would like to spend $10/ $18 chilling on the skybar under the rain

Look at my crazy hair, it's really windy here .

A Restaurant below the SkyBar.

We ended our night at around 130am .
It's really a beautiful place and I'm thankful to have another great date with him.
Cheers~
